Julia Carroll is the Manager of Engineering and Design for The Austin Company’s Western Operations. In this role, she utilizes her more than 30 years of experience to lead the Western Operations engineering team and coordinate with other disciplines and departments to achieve project goals. She is responsible for the overall quality and coordination of the design and construction documents and meeting critical engineering schedules.
Julia joined The Austin Company in 2017 as Chief Architect. Prior to joining Austin, Julia worked as a facility engineer for Northrop Grumman; then with a small architecture/engineering firm for 16 years, moving from draftsman to principal architect; and for Ware Malcomb, moving from project architect to studio manager for commercial during her tenure there.
Her project experience includes a variety of facility types, including commercial, governmental and industrial. She has been involved with all aspects of architectural design and development, from preliminary design through preparation of contract documents and construction administration, in addition to project design supervision, monitoring the production process, conducting quality assurance reviews, and the plan check and permitting process.
