To resolve inefficiencies and sanitation issues at their previous plants, 151 Foods, created by the Amoroso and Mulloy families, selected The Austin Company to convert a 385,000 SF warehouse in New Jersey into their new state-of-the-art baking facility. Austin’s design-build services encompassed the conversion of 285,000 SF, focusing on efficient layout planning that separates production from support areas and installing new plumbing and electrical systems.The facility features relocated and new equipment, improving production efficiency with a straight-line layout approach. The project also included specialized rooms for flour handling, ingredient storage, and steam boilers, along with comprehensive support spaces for maintenance and personnel.
