As a Subject Matter Expert, Charlie Carr helps Austin’s Meat and Poultry clients make smart, industry-relevant design and build choices for their facilities. With over 30 years’ experience and a proven track record of exceeding industry benchmarks, Charlie understands the intricacies involved with plant production objectives. He has a superior ability to communicate with diverse teams across C-Suite and plant management. At Butterball, Charlie served as the Plant Manager for Further Processing and Retail, overseeing a 370,000 square foot facility and managing over 1,000 production associates. Under Charlie’s leadership, the facility was recognized by OSHA’s Start Site Program of Excellence and became the largest turkey plant in the world. Charlie also held a leadership position at Middleby Food Processing Group as the Thurne Area Sales Manager, where he oversaw high-profile customer demonstrations. Being well versed in regulatory compliance including, but not limited to, OSHA, EPA, SQF, and USDA allows Charlie to be a valuable asset to the Meat and Poultry industry. His dedication to process improvement, profitable plant management, and leading diverse teams make him a trusted liaison between Austin and our clients.
