About Gavan Jassi
Gavan Jassi is a seasoned process and validation engineer with an MSc in Advanced Chemical Engineering and a BEng in Chemical Engineering. His career spans a wide range of roles in process design—from feasibility studies to detailed engineering—process optimization, and commissioning, qualification, and validation (CQV).
Gavan has led and contributed to numerous high-impact projects across the pharmaceutical sector including master planning and scenario modeling for ThermoFisher’s division-wide and site-specific operations, integrating robotics into sterile manufacturing at AstraZeneca, and spearheading net-zero initiatives for pharmaceutical production sites. His work also includes concept and detailed design for oil blending facilities, spray dryer upgrades, and continuous API manufacturing technologies.
He has held key roles in the development of critical infrastructure such as the DHSC Rosalind Franklin COVID-19 Megalab and has supported major pharmaceutical companies like Elanco, Fujifilm Diosynth Biotechnologies, and EuroAPI (Sanofi) in both technical leadership and engineering capacities. Gavan’s hands-on experience spans top-tier COMAH and GMP manufacturing environments, where he has worked within CQV teams, led CAPEX design projects, and been seconded into client teams to provide strategic and operational support.
Known for his ability to manage stakeholders and deliver high-specification projects on time and within budget, Gavan continues to drive innovation and excellence in the life sciences sector.
