About Tom Cardone
Tom Cardone serves as General Counsel at The Austin Company, where he leads all legal and risk management functions. Tom joined Austin after several months of working closely with the organization as outside counsel, bringing extensive experience advising A/E/C clients, project owners, and industry stakeholders across the United States and internationally.
Tom began his legal career after earning his J.D. with honors from Emory University School of Law and a bachelor’s degree from Auburn University. He also completed specialized studies in Construction Management and Construction Law at Stetson University College of Law. Prior to joining Austin, Tom practiced with Frantz Ward, LLP in Cleveland, Ohio, where he served as trusted counsel on complex construction and corporate matters. His background includes serving as both in-house General Counsel and outside counsel, giving him a unique perspective on risk management and operational strategy.
In his current role, Tom oversees all aspects of legal compliance, contract negotiation, and risk mitigation. His collaborative approach ensures practical, proactive solutions that align with Austin’s business objectives and client commitments. Tom is dedicated to strengthening the company’s legal framework while supporting growth and innovation across all operations.
A former member of the United States Marine Corps Reserve, Tom brings discipline, integrity, and a mission-driven mindset to his work. He is committed to working alongside team members at every level to foster continued company success and client satisfaction.
