What July 4th Really Means to Us

At The Austin Company, Independence Day is a time for us to consider what really matters, both as Americans and as a team that’s been building things for over 145 years.

Stories That Still Give Us Chills

Some of the stories from Austin’s 145-year history are impressive. Picture this: our founders designing aviation facilities during World War I, working around the clock because they knew what was at stake. Fast-forward to helping create the facilities where some of your favorite foods and drinks are made or helping pharmaceutical companies build new facilities to meet the demand of the of the COVID-19 pandemic and future healthcare challenges. These are the kinds of Austin projects that truly impact America’s growth.

Our clients understand the bearing an Austin partnership can have on key projects. Joseph M. Freda from Fair Oaks Foods put it perfectly: “We continue to build our legacy through strategic partnerships that share our values of trust and integrity. This was one of the main pillars when we chose The Austin Company to guide us in our search for a location to support our growth.” When clients talk like that, you know you’re doing something right.

How We Actually Work

Austin is made up of people who roll up our sleeves and figure things out. When a project is at its most critical point, Austin gets it done. When there’s a problem, we look for innovative solutions to solve it. Around here, we like to say Results, not Excuses.

The mindset of accountability may seem simple, and at times it may seem like it’s rare these days. As a team, we have each other’s backs, and we take the commitments we make to our clients very seriously. We like to think that it’s same spirit that built our country. When you see a challenge, don’t be afraid to tackle it head-on and then don’t quit until it’s handled.

We act on our core values. At Austin, they are, not just corporate speak. Get it Done, Innovation, Own It, Committed to Service, Passion. These are things we live by. It doesn’t matter if we’re breaking ground on a massive new facility or solving some complex engineering puzzle, these principles guide us on everything we do.

What We’re Really Building

So, when you’re grilling burgers and watching fireworks with your family, we want you to know that at Austin, we don’t just build buildings. We build the infrastructure that moves America forward. We create spaces where innovation occurs, where people succeed, and where products are made that improve daily life.

From everyone here at The Austin Company, we wish you a safe and enjoyable Fourth of July. Thank you for letting us be part of building a future that’s worthy of the freedom that we’re all celebrating  this 4th of July.

Here’s to keeping the American dream alive one project at a time.
